The meetings of the early Buddhist texts reading group are not generally open to the public, do not follow a regular schedule, and are held in English. We share labours and responsibilities according to interests and availability, with flexibility. The focus is on the early Buddhist ‘āgamas’ qua canonical scriptures. We read comparatively the available canonical versions in their Indic originals and translations (mostly Pali, Sanskrit, Chinese, Tibetan). Each of us specialises in one or more canonical languages and traditions and thus contributes from his/her fields(s) of expertise.
